About ATIA

The Australian Taxi Industry Association (ATIA) was formed by State and Territory based taxi associations to represent the Australian Taxi Industry on national issues.

Since its formation, the ATIA has been an effective voice articulating the Industry’s position and working with the Federal Government and its agencies to find workable solutions to legislative, regulatory and policy matters.

The Executive of the ATIA meets regularly to discuss issues and opportunities, and holds an annual conference to brief the Industry on progress and outcomes.

The ATIA is committed to the following:

• Conducting an ongoing audit of legislation and regulatory changes across Australia to ensure maximum benefits to the Taxi Industry.
  
• Facilitating the development of quality taxi services across Australia by liaising with government and the media.
  
• Encouraging practices aimed at further improving the safety, security and well-being of all Taxi Industry participants.
  
• Ensuring the dissemination of critical information to the Industry through communications and education programs.
  
• Hosting the annual Australian Taxi Conference to ensure the latest product and service developments and opportunities are available to the Industry.
